Chirps and twitters!

I have been in love with birdhouses since for ever! This week I wanted to make some 2D-esque birdhouses for keepsakes and I loved them so much I decided to incorporate them into a scrapbook layout. And what better picture to scrap than this one of chiu and mau!

I selected a few of my favourite pattern papers (from various collections by American Crafts’ different branches) for making the birdhouses. Then I designed and cut them with my Silhouette Portrait and and mixed and matched the patterns for the roofs. The variety in the patterns and the shapes gave them a cute and whimsical look.dsc_0003-blog

After deciding on the placement of the birdhouses and the photograph on the layout, I smooshed(? is that a word?) watercolors on the white background so it co-ordinated with the houses on the front. Draws the eye more toward the details! 🙂

And then I did something I never thought my Laziness would let me do- I fussy cut flowers! 😀 tons of them! 😀 😀 I must admit, watching Harry potter really takes away the tediousness out of fussy cutting! 😉

I loved how the layout came together- and all the super dimensional look! I backed up all the houses with a lot of thick chipboard and the photo with some more.

Early lessons with Dad.

Hello again!

I have a wonderful family. An awesome brother, and two cutest fairies for nieces. This photograph of them makes me think of how wonderful the relation of a father and a daughter is and always gives warmth to my heart. ❤

Here’s the page-

Ages later..

Hello dear readers!

It has been such a long while that I have blogged, and I now feel like I am writing for the first time in my life. So much water has flown under the bridge in the past 2 and a half years! I passed graduation (hurray! :D), worked at Cummins India Ltd., and I am married (Yes! :D) , and moved to Nanded city in Maharashtra.

And boy does time fly. Zoop.

So, now that I have settled and am having a different and very comforting work time zone, I can finally devote myself to my passion of crafts at my leisure.

So, since quite a lot has changed around lately, I think we need a change of platform here too. This blog will be revamped soon and back in action and I am very excited to see it up and running (without a stop now pinky promise. :D) !

Hope everyone has been doing good. See you soon!

The Comeback post :p

Okay, now seriously, who starts a blog and doesn’t come back for three months straight? Me, i know.. but I’ve had my reasons..! Ruddy exams and all.. sigh.

Never mind.. Now that I am free, finally, i’m gonna be on a crafting and blogging spree! 🙂

First up.. a good news! recently i have been gawking at people’s stamping and art journaling projects and i really, REALLY wanted to have some good markers to get me going.. And then i came across Art and Sole, a blog by Darcy Wilkinson. She had this wonderful set of promarkers for giveaway, which I WON! Yay!! 😀 (thank you letraset too, btw! 🙂 ) i was dying to get my hands on them!

And finally, after ten uber-long days of waiting, it came today. The parcel.

promarkers seasonal set

seasonal setI could hardly wait to put them on paper!! But then there was a glitch in my happiness. As soon as i started doodling with them, I found out that they bled through almost all types of paper I had.. 😦

After a bit of searching on the internet I found that supplies Letraset bleedproof paper.. that is it then! order sent! 🙂 now i have to wait only one more day to get journalling :)! But you know how impatient i am.. i have started doodling on plastic film coated paper now. :pfirst doodle

I draw like a 5 year old toddler.. I know. But heyy, it was just a rough doodle, alright! (ahem!) anyways,…
